Event Description
The Village Eco Pre-School Presents MONEY FOR BALI

Come experience the young and rocking five-piece band Money for Bali. They are a upbeat funky reggae/rock band fresh from the  Mother City and preforming in aid of raising money for the bursary children of The Village Eco-Preschool.

The Eco-preschool will be hosting their Annual Fundraising Event : a Music and Auction Evening on the 26th of August 2017.

Money for Bali is relatively new on the scene, having formed just over a year ago. Their music is jazzy and laced with the sounds of the electric guitar, bass and saxophone in a creative culmination of funky build-ups and relax rhythms.  Consisting of a burning saxophonist who fights the daily urge to display his other horn in public, a bassist who is so smooth he can be peanut butter to your jam, a drummer who in his spare time works as a panel beater and metronome, a lead guitarist who puts the "long" in "Schlong" and who shreds not only the guitar but also the backing vox, and finally the vocalist who, when he finally hits the right note, still fails with the women which he tries to make up for with really average rhythm guitar.
In a nutshell, Money for Bali is young, fresh and fun and they will, without a doubt, get you up and dancing through the night!

The Eco-preschool is committed to Inclusive Education and practice the principle of non-discrimination, including discrimination based on race, sex, disability, religion, cultural or social origin, thereby striving towards a multicultural and multiracial society. They accommodate a limited number of learners with challenges and difficulties and aspire to provide an environment where children from different socio economic backgrounds can learn and play together.

All funds raised from the event go towards the school Bursasry Fund to support those children who would benefit from a pre-school education at The Village Eco-Preschool, but do not have the means to pay the fees.

Do not miss out on the opportunity to listen to the sounds of this new South African band, bid on some awesome adventure activities and accommodation vouchers, stand a chance to win some fabulous prizes and jive to to some good tunes whilst supporting the local school bursary fund.
There is a full cash bar available and a variety of soups, cakes, tea and coffee on sale. Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks or picnic baskets. Doors open at 6:30am. Show kicks off at 7:30pm.
Tickets: R130 per adult / R50 per child ( 12yrs and under) available from Peppermill Cafe, The Village Bookshop and The Ice Palazzo on Main Street Plett.  For more info contact: 072 605 8573/079 505 6332
