Event Description
NWU 14th annual Symposium on Diseases Relevant to SA 2017

The 14th Annual Symposium on Diseases Relevant to South Africa

As part of the NWU School of Pharmacy’s mission to promote continuing education, we are proud to present the Annual Symposium on Diseases Relevant to South Africa (SDRSA). What began in 2004 as a relatively small meeting attended only by final year pharmacy students has since grown to be the most condensed and clinically relevant CPD (continuing professional development) Symposium in South Africa. Over the course of two days, delegates receive 14 clinical CPD points, attending lectures on different relevant topics, ranging from infectious diseases and psychiatry, to diabetes and neurological conditions

To ensure that delegates are lectured and entertained by only the best experts our country has to offer, the program is filled from head to toe with some of South Africa’s leaders in their respective fields.

This year the Speakers include:

  • Prof Lucille Blumberg

  • Dr Helen Clark

  • Dr Etienne Kok

  • Dr David Segal

  • Dr. Alison Bentley

  • Dr. Eric Hefer

  • Adv. Elsabe Klinck

  • Dr. Robin Green
