Decolonising Wits

A film by Aryan Kaganof. Decolonising Wits captures a headspace, a time and a feeling that is sweeping the nation. Things are happening, ideologies are changing and this film is a tactical intervention that seeks to contribute to the narrative of this change. This is not a “balanced” or “neutral” documentary film made with so-called objective distance from its subject matter. Decolonising Wits is a partisan contribution to the student’s movement as well as a film maker’s attempt to decolonise his own practice.
