WE MUST HAVE SOME FORM OF DESCRIPTION FOR THE EVENT

BINA THOLO, A music experience

"Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it"

The show is a collection of Setswana traditional and songs that Motchie composed himself.

It's a hybrid of African and traditional jazz music that will appeal to an audience of all tastes.

There's a lot to be grateful for, to name a few;

My roots – Setso sa me! I am Motshidisi Manyeneng, I am a descendent of the Great Tau who is the mastermind behind the institution of ditau tsa monyena clan. As I embark on this journey of self-discovery, I call upon all my ancestors under the guidance of Tau Ya Monyena to see me through. Ke ngwana nyena, mmina Tholo e naka dimachophe, tlogolo sa Batshweneng!

My grandmother – Mme Mmaserati, thank you for being my spiritual anchor.

Every time I sing your favourite Apostolic song - Pula tsa letlhogonolo, I remember how you raised me to fear, love and praise God.

My mom and dad - They created a safe and loving home for me, I couldn't have chosen better parents.

Lo mphile leina, lwa mpha kgotlha, gompieno ke balwa le batho. Bless them.

Being a Morolong - mmina Tholo.

Prance Kudu! Prance!! Kudu's are sociable yet very reserved animals, ha di karagana o itse gore go sengwe.

That's Motchie right there, o seke wa mo tlakatlakela!

This is a celebration of life through music – I invite you all to join me as I journey with you to the discovery of self through music.

While we give thanks, we should not forget to give to those who are in need as well.

Madiba in his very own words said, there can be no greater gift than that of giving one's time and energy to help others without expecting anything in return. In celebrating the Madiba centenary, let's donate sanitary towels to ensure that our girls stay in school. There will be a drop-off box at the theatre on the day of the performance. Please bring as many sanitary towels as you can. See you then!!
