Welcome to Cape2Clarens 2026
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Maloti Mountains in the Eastern Free State, Cape2Clarens is a premium wine festival that promises an unforgettable celebration of South African wine, style, and sense of place.
Join us for a long weekend as we uncork three WINEderful days of indulgence in the heart of the charming village of Clarens.
Created to bring the Cape’s most exceptional wines straight from their vineyards to one of South Africa’s most loved destinations, Cape2Clarens offers a rare and exclusive opportunity to taste, explore, and purchase wines directly from top Western Cape estates, all without leaving the village. Expect unlimited tastings, personal interaction with the people behind the labels, and a relaxed yet refined festival atmosphere.
The festival unfolds as a scenic, walkable wine route through Clarens. Begin your journey at the Mont d’Or Hotel, where you’ll collect your tasting glass and tickets and be welcomed with a celebratory glass of bubbles. From there, stroll the route with your Cape2Clarens map in hand, stopping to sip and savour wines at Clarens’ favourite restaurants, cafés, and delis, each hosting carefully selected wine estates ready to pour.
Whether you’re a seasoned wine lover or simply curious to discover something new, Cape2Clarens invites you to sip, stroll, and celebrate a truly premium wine weekend with us.

Support a Worthy Cause
Cape2Clarens proudly supports Ntlo ea Lebone – The Lighthouse, a Clarens non-profit that cares for young children from disadvantaged communities while empowering local women through skills and work opportunities.
The women of Ntlo ea Lebone are crocheting the festival’s wine glass holders and are paid for each one they make.
You can add a small donation when purchasing your ticket to help support this wonderful initiative and bring hope to our Clarens community.
