Nazareth House invites you to come and enjoy and relax to the soothing sound of music and choirs to raise funds for our Frail Care Unit!
What could be better than spending an hour on Sunday the 14th of August in the majestical Chapel of Nazareth House, famous for its celestial acoustics, where you will be entertained by a selection of incredible choirs?
To raise funds for our Frail Care Unit, Nazareth House has joined hands with some of the best conductors and choir leaders in Pretoria to create an event titled Caring Through Singing. Nazareth House Care Frail Care Unit offers its residents a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment. At Nazareth House our residents are loved and cared for in a holistic way where our focus is on Quality of Life. We strive to decrease the institutionalized feel associated with care homes and encourage a home-like environment.
On the 14th of August Nazareth House will be hosting two choir concerts. Concert 1 from 14:30 – 15:30 will feature the following choirs: Laerskool Anton van Wouw, led by Ms Elize Eloff and accompanied by Ms Betsie Schaap, which consists of 50 energetic little angelic voices. The Jacaranda Children’s Choir (JCC) in affiliation with the Tshwane Youth Arts Festival, an internationally acclaimed children’s choir conducted by Mr Stephan Gericke and accompanied by Neil Krog. SingFonix, a male voice ensemble, established at the beginning of 2017. SingFonix offers a variety of choir music - sacred music, light classical music, contemporary music, and folk music under the musical directorship of Dr Riekie van Aswegen. SingFonix were category winners during the Open Competition at the 2018 World Choir Games.
The 2nd Concert will start at 18:00 and will include Laerskool Elarduspark Senior Choir who love music. Their beautiful choir boasts 95 dedicated choir members from 10-13 years of age who are led by Ms. Elize Eloff and accompanied by Ms. Betsie Schaap. Curro Hazeldean High School Choir won their category at the Pretoria Eisteddfod with an A+ accolade. Academia Choir, led by Franco Prinsloo, was formed in August 2021, and has grown from 12 to 30 members. Although still a young choir, without a doubt, they will have a positive impact with their musical talent in the future.
Tickets are available for only R90 online through tixsa.co.za or R100 at the door. It is not often that a person has the opportunity to experience these extraordinary choirs together, so hurry now, tickets are limited.
