Bonjour Monsieur Brel: a unique candle light concert by Jannie Du Toit

We would like to invite you to a special evening with Jannie du Toit: an intimate candlelight concert in the beautiful NG Kerk.

This acclaimed stage programme has been warmly received at venues including De Roode Bioscoop in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Herman van Veen’s Kapschuur Theatre, Theatre on the Square in Sandton, Alliance Française Maseru, and theatres across Windhoek, Cape Town, Johannesburg, and throughout South Africa.

A selection of around 20 of Jacques Brel’s finest songs will be performed in French, Afrikaans, Dutch, and English, interwoven with Jannie’s recitations of Brel’s texts in English. For the first time, this programme will be be presented in a candlelit setting.

We also offer the unique opportunity to have a beautiful personalised candle made from reclaimed and recycled wax by the Candle Shop in Clarens, featuring your name. This is only available if you book at least one day in advance (by 24 September).
