Chamber Singers: Kruis van Liefde

Join the Chamber Singers (conducted by Raine Pienaar) on the 1st of December 2024, for a powerful performance of award-winning composer Franco Prinsloo’s gripping oratorio, Kruis van Liefde.

This poignant portrayal of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ comes to life through evocative poetry crafted by esteemed poets Professor Hans du Plessis and Professor Bernard Odendaal. Prinsloo’s composition intricately weaves their rich verses with a small ensemble accompanying the choir, featuring organ (Theo van Wyk), marimba (Magdalena de Vries), timpani, tubular bells (Wian Joubert), and additional percussion (Mpho Chuene and Thulani Mahloko).
