Get ready for the annual Tulbagh Festival: Christmas in Winter!
This year, it falls on the last weekend of June, from the 27th to the 29th. It’s the perfect time to embrace the winter season and immerse yourself in the holiday spirit.

The Tulbagh Festival, which began in 2001, is a cherished tradition where you can celebrate the joyous spirit of Christmas, right in the heart of winter. The event takes place in the beautiful town of Tulbagh, along the historic Church Street. This year, we’re determined to make it the best festival in its 24-year history!

What can you expect from Christmas in Winter 2025?

This year’s festival is a three-day event starting on Friday, 28 June, with an opening night featuring the Christmas Light Switch-On and the Farmers Electric Light Parade. Church Street will be transformed into a festive wonderland, adorned with decorations any Christmas enthusiast would love.

Activities include:

• Opening Farmers Electric Light Parade: Friday, 28 June at 7 PM.


• Christmas Festival Market: Artisanal stalls with locally made products, delicious deli items, food vendors, and tasty treats.


• Two Festival Bars: Located on historic Church Street, serving wine, beer, and holiday cheer.


• Live Music and Entertainment.


• Traditional Festival Meals at local restaurants.


• Street Entertainers, Busking, and Carol Singing along Church Street.


• Kids' Entertainment and Activities at the Winter Wonderland, including jumping castles.
