Colour My Mamelodi: Fun Run/ Walk

The Event

The event host the people of Mamelodi and visitors to a fun run/walk event. Runners must complete a 5km & 10km barricaded and controlled route around Mamelodi West where they will have the opportunity to throw colour powder at each other. Once completed, runners will be rewarded with a hamper for participation. Our event is targeted at people of all ages who would like to kick-start a healthy lifestyle.

The event will run as follows:

*  06:00 – 07:00: Registrations of the day for 5km & 10km fun run/walk 

*  07:15 10km run starts

*  07:30 5km run/walk starts

*  11:00 – 16:00 aerobics and fun activities.

The purpose of the fun run/walk is three-fold:

1. To promote healthy living through a fun physical activity


2. To promote small and upcoming businesses and entrepreneurs in our communities

     3. Bring awareness of women & children abuse
