Dean’s Concert: Where Africa meets the West

The Dean of the Faculty of Humanities proudly presents Tuks Camerata in Where Africa meets the West.

The concert juxtaposes the diversity and tapestry that is so uniquely South African. From the Western idiom of music by Hofmeyr, Temming, van der Watt and Barrett, to the authentic songs and dances of traditional Africa, this is one concert that is for all South Africans. The Tuks Camerata is also privileged to host the international guest conductor, Prof Cameron LaBarr from the USA, and audience members will delight in his contribution to American songs.
