Based on the bestselling novel by Austrian Robert Seethaler, this poignant drama follows the life of Andreas Egger, a man shaped by hardship, war, and fleeting love in a remote Alpine valley. Spanning eight decades, the film is a meditation on resilience, solitude, and the quiet dignity of a simple life. Austrian-German co-production.

Memories of Angelika Schrobsdorff (Verspiegelte Zeit – Erinnerungen an Angelika Schrobsdorff) – Steinbichlers Exam Film from Film School in 1988

A moving documentary portrait of the German-Jewish author Angelika Schrobsdorff, whose life journey took her from exile in Romania to literary acclaim and spiritual refuge in Jerusalem. The film captures her wit, melancholy, and reflections on identity, exile, and belonging.
