Heritage Celebration Concert

The concert will feature celebratory and festive music showcasing a variety of pulsating Southern African indigenous music and dance forms. A substantial amount of the concert the will be dedicated to the promoting and celebrating the pride of our African Musical Heritage, featuring ALL South African Indiegnous dances like the ‘Domba’(TshiVenda dance) 'Umxhentso' (Xhosa dance), 'Amatshitshi' (Zulu maiden dance), 'Tsutsube' (Tswana dance) and many more exciting dance forms.

UP Ovuwa is an internationally renowned cultural ensemble consisting of full-time UP students whose objective is to share a common purpose of conserving, promoting and popularization of the diverse African cultural and indigenous folklore and heritage. They continually conduct extensive researches and perform different genres of cultural, folk and indigenous music and dance forms, representative of all the 11 official languages of South Africa.
