Popular music entertainer, Selim Valentino (formerly Kagee) and his friends, will present a benefit virtual concert, Home for Christmas Tree of Lights, premiering on the 6th December 2020 at 7pm, to help raise funds for St Luke’s Combined Hospices.

St Luke’s Combined Hospices’ signature events for 2020 have been severely compromised by the COVID-19 pandemic, events that usually accrue income could not take place. One of St Luke’s Combined Hospices biggest income generators is the Tree of Lights ceremony, which usually takes place over the first weekend in December.

The event is widely regarded as a unique and caring way of paying tribute to deceased loved ones, by purchasing a light in their memory. This year, the Tree of Lights initiative will be supported online with an exciting concert by Selim Valentino and friends, by spreading compassion, love and a sense of community in honor of those that we have lost.

The Home for Christmas Tree of Lights virtual concert stars Selim Valentino; Lynelle Kenned and André Terblanché with proceeds going towards much needed funds for the NPO. “This is all thanks to the wonderful support of the people in their private capacity, companies and trusts whose donations keep our service going. It is not well-known that other than patients on medical aids, we provide this service and support at no cost.” said Ronita Mahilall CEO of St Luke's Combined Hospice.
