Masaru (Tatsuya Fuji) and Yukiko (Chieko Baisho, known for singing the theme song of Hayao Miyazaki’s “Howl's Moving Castle”) are an elderly couple with a strained marriage. When their pet cat goes missing, Masaru's apparent apathy triggers Yukiko to reassess their relationship. Their daughter (Mikako Ichikawa from “Godzilla Resurgence”) steps in to help.
