Rediscover the different facets of life in the symphonic soundscapes presented in "Life in Symphony”.  Awaken your senses, reminisce, and experience life’s myriad of impressions portrayed by the Pretoria Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jaco van Staden.
 
Immerse yourself in the enchanting beauty of the Norwegian landscape and folkloric fantasy.  Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite no.1 chronicles Peer Gynt’s fantastical journey from the Norwegian mountains to the North African desert.
 
Samir Dookie, a participant in the Pretoria Symphony Orchestra’s 2023 Youth Concerto Festival, will grace the stage in Rachmaninov's 2nd Piano concerto. This piano concerto is undisputedly one of top ten classical hits of all times, filled with many romantic melodies, frequently included in the scores of films and TV shows. Samir Dookie exhibits an extraordinary ability to portray the various facets of life that Sergei Rachmaninov sought to capture and express.
 
Also on the programme is Schubert's Unfinished Symphony. It is certainly not unfinished business but rather a masterpiece which has stood the test of time and remains a favourite with orchestras and audiences.
