BUITENKANT
A homeless woman breaks into an apartment, where her experience turns into a complex reflection on how humans are shaped by their circumstances, and how Cape Town’s legacy of spatial segregation continues to play itself out today.
THINA SOBABILI
It is a story of siblings Thulani and Zanele, they journey through life knowing that they have no one but each other to lean on. With Alexandra Township serving as a vibrant backdrop, the siblings escape one tragedy and build a life together where big brother Thulani is over protective of his younger sister.
The two siblings share a very strained relationship that is compounded when Zanele falls for the charm of an older man, she sees this as her only way to escape what she thinks is a bleak future in the township.
