North-West Youth Ballet presents Swan Lake

North-West Youth Ballet presents Swan Lake, a classic ballet by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. It is a captivating production featuring talented dancers from all ages. The iconic roles of Prince Siegfried and Odette will be performed by professional dancers from the esteemed Joburg Ballet. The performance will take place at the Sanlam Auditorium of the North-West University (NWU) on 11 and 12 September 2025.

Swan Lake is one of the most beloved classical ballets of all time. It tells the enchanting story of Prince Siegfried and Odette, a princess cursed by the evil sorcerer Von Rothbart. Prince Siegfried, mesmerised by her beauty, vows eternal love, unaware of the curse. Featuring breathtaking choreography, dramatic themes of love deception and sacrifice, Swan Lake captivates audiences with its haunting beauty and emotional depth.
