The NWU Symphonic wind ensemble presents Musical Landscapes. A program depicting the wonder and beauty of our world. From the Appalachian Overture by James Barnes that is as majestic as the mountain trails to Second suite by Gustav Holst. In this suite, Holst makes use of British folksongs that includes “Greensleeves”. We also visit Lithuania – with a wonderful piece by the Dutch composer Jacob de Haan. The Heart of Lithuania showcases the beautiful folk melodies from Lithuania and the diversity of emotions take the listener straight to the heart of the Lithuanian people.
