Piet Botha & Jack Hammer - When the Moon was Young

Jack Hammer is the group affiliated with the birth of
rock ‘n roll in South Africa and has performed on local
stages with names like Deep Purple and Uriah Heep on
their South African Tours. Their songs speak mostly of
lives lived on the road, impossible love affairs and
left-wing political commentary of a group who’ve lived
through the best and worst of South African times.
Since its conception in 1984, Jack Hammer and its
legendary frontman Piet Botha, have performed countless
shows to tireless fans in all corners of the country and
they felt that it was time to return to their roots in Gauteng.
