Reel to Reality Festival is an annual film festival run by Behind Her Lens Visuals, that aims to spotlight films made by filmmakers within the African diaspora, to showcase the past, present and future of diasporic cinema through strong voices in film. The festival aims to grant visibility and distribution to emerging voices and stories of African descent, across socio-political divides. The festival is excited to bring 5 short film sessions (1 hour a session) to The Bioscope Independent Cinema from the 31st of March to 1st of April 2023. From Missionaries to Slaves their status changed several times as the political Indian environment evolved. Today, almost absent from the official
Indian narrative, those Afro-Indians are an alive testimony of an untold chapter of History.
