Simfonia Juventi 2026 Gala Concert

Die orkes, tans onder dirigentskap van mnr. Eddie Clayton, met ’n ledetal van 80, word jaarliks deur oudisie-aflegging demokraties saamgestel uit hoofsaaklik hoërskoolleerders uit die onderskeie streke van ons land. Dit is veral die uitmuntende standaard van die orkes wat dit gewild maak, en dit het ’n gesogte orkes vir aspirant-musici geword.

Die orkesaktiwiteite word afgesluit met ’n prestigekonsert in die ZK Matthews-saal by UNISA in Pretoria, tot groot genot van gehore wat hulle verlustig in die musiek van die ou meesters soos Beethoven, Tchaikovsky en Strauss, terwyl filmmusiek ook sy plek op die program het.

The orchestra, currently under the baton of Mr Eddie Clayton, consists of 80 members and is democratically selected each year through an audition process, drawing mainly from high school learners across the various regions of our country. It is the exceptional standard of the orchestra that makes it so popular, and it has become a sought-after opportunity for aspiring musicians.

The highlight of the orchestra’s activities is a prestigious concert at the ZK Matthews Hall at UNISA in Pretoria, featuring works by the great masters such as Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Strauss, while music from the movies also forms part of the programme.
