So Chef! - Movie Drink- Along

Following the success of previous editions, So Chef! is coming back to Southern Africa from the 9th to the 21st of October 2017. Save the dates and celebrate with us the diversity of French cuisine and treat yourself to a memorable gastronomic experience à la française!

This year, a Movie Drink-Along is organised at the Bioscope with a selection of South African wines.
Wines will be served during the movie. You drink what you see on screen, for a real-time experience.

Movie - "Saint amour"
The irreverent directing duo Benoît Delépine and Gustave Kervern (Louise-Michel, 2008, Mammuth, 2010) reunite with favourites Gérard Depardieu and Benoît Poelvoorde for this riotous, road trip romp which literally bounces through the wine-growing regions of France. 
Jean (Depardieu) and Bruno (Poelvoorde) are a father-and-son team of cattle farmers who are attending an agricultural trade fair in Paris. Bruno, however, has lost interest in the farming life, preferring instead to drink his way to oblivion (and through his personal crisis) in the fair’s wine hall. When Bruno has one drink too many, Jean promptly decides that a tour of the real wine country is just the thing to help his son better appreciate France’s rural traditions. He enlists a young Parisian taxi driver (Vincent Lacoste, Eden, AF FFF15) as their personal chauffeur, and the three embark on a journey replete with crazy characters, sexual encounters and general chaos at every turn. 
This is an irresistibly cheeky, delightfully sentimental ode to the bond between father and son, so take a seat and enjoy the ride.
