It is the year 1983.  The time in history where mullets, perms and shoulder pads rule the streets.  A time where neon colours, spandex and gigantic hair means being the ‘cool kid’ on the block.

A young and hopeful Claire Brown leaves the judges with an awestruck performance and after being crowned the winner, she’s awarded a scholarship at SPACE.  Claire is faced with a difficult decision; to remain the small town girl or to follow her dreams of becoming a performer.

Will Claire be able to cope with her new life at SPACE?  Will she be able to stay out of trouble?  Will she stand out or disappear in the crowd?
