MORE INFO!

pronunciation is a tricky devil. you read certain words thinking they’re pronounced one way for most of your life, all of a sudden to be shamed in a room full of people because you said ‘awry’ wrong. you try to throw ‘segue’ into the conversation and bam - mocked. like an idiot. to be honest, j.k. rowling holds a fair portion of the blame, because what child knows how to pronounce hermione? ron -good. harry - good. hermione - no way, mate. so how about this… we make a little pact now, that no one will bring up the name of the venue for THE ENTIRE NIGHT. i don’t wanna hear it. you say it, you drink. and not a nice drink, one of the ones thats hard to pronounce, like a shot of bloody curaçao.

okay good, now that we’ve got that out the way, we’re doing a NIGHTY BOOSH. yay! it’s a bit gratuitous for us to be dubbing this a boosh, but we’ve got so little else to live for you guys, just give us this. we curated the line up ourselves, and we strongly believe everyone is going to have a good time. we have…

FLETCHING

you may recognise this handsome fella as the fella who’s been filling in for our boy tommyrocket while he’s been sipping tea. his name is very difficult to pronounce, so he very generously goes by zam boney, which is much easier to pronounce. although the band is called fletching, so none of that is really relevant. now, i googled what fletching is, and let me tell you… it’s quite something.

THE CHARLES GÉNE SUITE

we’re not sure who charles géne is, but i bet that little ´ gets left off all the time and that must be quite annoying. this band is hot property right now.

SHORTSTRAW

these okes again? lord, when will they just quit?

tom is back in joburg for like 3 hours, so we figured now is as good a time as any to make him work. join us as we go through hits such as, ‘breaking the barrier of overindulgence’, ‘backbone’, and ‘our simple minds’. just jokes, we’ll play the ones you know.

HALF N HALF

not only is this guy a good dj, but he’s also been a part of the SHORTSTRAW family for more than a decade. he also dresses very well, so come and look less good next to him while he spins the tunes you didn’t know you loved yet.

glory, glory hallelujah. this is all happening on the 16th of september at the venue we will not attempt to pronounce from 7PM until we want to go to sleep, which is midnight, unless you are still a youth.

okay good. please buy tickets.
