The Bioscope and Cinema TAKE invite you to explore the TIGRITUDES* cycle, a chronological anthology of Pan- African cinema (126 films from 1956 to 2022). The 60s, 90’s and 2000s of the program will be presented, with screenings followed by talks or panel discussions, to resonate a part of the history of cinema from the continent and its diaspora.

The story begins in a small village in Rhodesia (which will became Zimbabwe on April 18, 1980 after years of civil war), when the war is heating up. The life of two teenage girls are changed when the father of one of them is detained by the Rhodesians. They decide to walk to Mozambique to join the struggle.
