Faces

I have seen a face with a thousand countenances, and a face that was but a single countenance as if held in a mould.

UBUSO | FACES

Horizons Project Choir and Vox Chamber Choir, two renowned choirs from South Africa’s capital city, will take hands with the Capital Chamber Orchestra in UBUSO | FACES on the 14th of April 2019.

Vox Chamber Choir and the Horizons Project Choir will perform compositions by Franco Prinsloo (Nedbank ACT Impact Award 2019) and Pieter Bezuidenhout (UP Stefans Grové Composition Award 2018), accompanied by the Capital Chamber Orchestra, under the baton of Schalk van der Merwe (Len van Zyl Conductors' Prize 2019).

UBUSO | FACES explores the relationship between the literal and metaphorical perception of words and music, to offer you an opportunity to experience the various faces of a performance.

The programme comprises three exciting parts:

A Capella music performed by the respective choirs; music arranged for choir and string orchestra; and an exciting programme for strings only.
