The University of Pretoria Symphony Orchestras proudly hosts the internationally acclaimed Washington DC Youth Orchestra Program (DCYOP) in a special concert under the direction of Artistic Director and Conductor Evan Ross Solomon.
Founded in 1960, DCYOP is one of the United States’ leading youth orchestra and music education organisations, recognised internationally for its musical excellence, dynamic performances and commitment to developing the next generation of artists and leaders through orchestral music.
Having performed at renowned venues including the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and toured extensively throughout Europe and South America, DCYOP brings its vibrant orchestral sound to Pretoria in a programme celebrating both powerful orchestral tradition and contemporary musical voices.
