Tracy Bouras has been in the printing industry all her life. She runs the family printing business, The Paper Shop in Cape Town. As an avid quilter sharing a passion for both printing and quilting, Tracy is always looking for ways to combine these two loves.
The Quilting Co was started in January 2019 with the inspiration for doing so being to open quilting up to a wider audience.
With 30 years of production experience in print, Tracy is always looking for quicker and easier ways of doing things so that there is more time for quilting.
Essentially The Quilting Co is what happens when quilting and printing have a baby and smother it in love and happiness.
From English paper piecing papers to a variety of paper foundation pads and ready-to-sew kits all with online tutorials – all in an effort to provide products where all the hard work has already been done and you can just sew it all together. This helps to make it easier for the beginner quilter to get started or makes it faster for the more experienced quilter.
Tracy has been a SAQG accredited Quilting Teacher since 2014 and her passion for quilting means she truly loves to share what she has learnt about quilting with anyone eager to learn.
Most recently Tracy has joined up with two fellow quilters - Tracy Arnet and John J. Cole-Morgan where they chat on a weekly podcast called “John and T Squared” about all things related to quilting.

DETAILED COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Learn to do a quilter’s knot and blanket stitch around the heart. Once the batting is secured you will learn to quilt around the heart to create this quilted greeting card.
Cost of Kit: R100
Detailed Contents of kit:
1 x Aperture greeting card with coloured envelope.
1 x piece of white fabric with precision cut Shweshwe heart already fused.
1 x precut batting.
Needle & thread to make the card.
