Rosemary enjoys all forms of quilt making, experimenting with new techniques and aiming for 
excellence in all her work. Her classes are relaxed and unpressurised, where each student is 
encouraged to enjoy the class and to develop their own creative ideas. Her teaching approach is 
gentle, patient and encouraging. She is always so gratified when a student has accomplished a new 
skill, or expresses their appreciation for what they have learnt, in the smiles on their faces.
 
DETAILED COURSE DESCRIPTION:
In this class, the student will learn to create and design their own one-of-a kind circular embroidery. 
Once transferred to the fabric background, parts of the design will be coloured using coloured
pencils. From there students will add more detail, dimension and colour, by using gorgeous coloured
thread and exploring a number of embroidery stitches. By the end of the class, they will have 
enough knowledge to continue the embroidery and complete the work at their leisure.

1 skein of embroidery thread
Student Requirements:
Fat Quarter background fabric 100% cotton in white/ecru.
Large embroidery hoop 
Small embroidery hoop for practice
12” square of fabric in white/ecru
1/2m very light iron-on interfacing
Black Koki pen e.g. Artline Supreme 700
Masking tape
Fabric marking pencil
Embroidery needles size you prefer to use #5-#7 suggested
Sharp embroidery scissors
Thimble
DMC stranded cotton or perle threads of your favourite colours
Coloured pencil crayons
Stencil with different sized, small circles - optional
Basic sewing supplies
