207S Sunburst Quilt Saturday 6th July

Level: Intermediate

Janet is a retired Home Economics teacher. She is committed to teaching sewing and quilting.
She runs short workshops and courses in Howick which has resulted in many newly retired people 
taking up quilting as a retirement hobby.
 
 
 
DETAILED COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Learn the technique of foundation paper piecing which makes accurate stars and fine points.
 
Student Requirements:
Two metres background/neutral fabric
A variety of assorted fabrics for the sun rays in four different colours or tones – adding up to half a
metre of each colour. This will make a quilt 50” X 65”.
For a bigger quilt you will need 2.5 metres of background fabric and 75cm of the four different
colours.
Sewing machine in good working order, cleaned and oiled with a new machine needle and a spare
machine needle.
Extension cord and adaptor.
Neutral sewing thread and bobbins wound with this thread.
Foundation papers will be supplied.
Basic sewing supplies.
