311H A Scrappy Cushion (Kids only) Sunday 7th July 14h00 – 17h00

Mari is an international award winning quilt artist and experienced accredited quilt teacher and
judge. She knows no boundaries and has a talent for teaching. She believes that every quilter has
the power and potential to create something beautiful. She tries to equip her students with as much
knowledge as possible in a stress-free environment. She wants them to have fun, expand their skills
and enjoy the creative process. The smile on a student’s face when she has mastered something is
her reward.
You are going to make your own funky cushion for your room. There will be lots of different designs to choose from. Be creative. Play with the sewing machine It is in a classroom specially decorated for kids and where everything is about you! The sky is the limit!
DETAILED COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Do you have a box full of beautiful scrap fabric that you can’t throw away but don’t know what to do with? This is the workshop you have been waiting for. We will use all these scraps and sew them into innovative strips. This can be done after every project you complete. No more scraps in a box. Only beautiful strips waiting to be turned into an art quilt. Neat and not taking up a lot of space. Different ways will be shown to use these strips to create art quilts.
