501H Crazy Shweshwe Tuesday 9th July
Session: 1 x 3hr
Level: All Levels
Alet is a Master Quilter and SAQG Accredited Quilt Judge. She has 25 years of quilting experience
and has won numerous prizes in many genres. She likes to challenge herself to do different and
'new' things in quilting. She particularly likes to make quilts using a foundation base and then adding
extra texture to it. Her kind and gentle manner makes Alet a very popular teacher in the classroom.
DETAILED COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This is a variation of the 'stitch and flip' method. Black or other colour strips are used to create a
stained-glass effect. Because the pieces are worked on the foundation and batting, no extra quilting
is necessary after completion. Different sizes can be made if preferred. Ideal for cushions
