Kirstie Macleod
Session: 1 x 3hr
Level: All Levels

Kirstie has worked as a Textile artist for 18 years, and on the Red Dress for the last 14. What began
as a sketch on the back of a napkin in 2009, has grown into a global collaborative project involving
hundreds of people all over the world. With a background in fine art, textiles and costume, her
painted, embroidered and textile works seek to explore issues of identity, culture, the subconscious
and passage of time. From 2015 - 2023 Kirstie worked full time on the Red Dress project, and now
following the garments completion she is returning to her own practice once more.
