This is a class full of design options.... come and enjoy the relaxing art of hand piecing. It's the perfect portable project for group or guild meetings, travelling and moments of no electricity! Design options, colour exploration and planning and the technique of Hand Piecing will all be covered in the class. The finishing of a cushion and how to make and sew on a binding will be demonstrated in the class.
Project options include cushions, table runners and even the beginning of a wall hanging or a bed quilt!

KIT INCLUDED:
This kit is compulsory unless previous purchased from Y. Swinford-Meyer. This is a 7-piece Template set.

SUPPLY LIST:
-100% cotton Fabric: A variety of scraps or about 5-8, 15cm strips (multi-coloured, printed solids, solids)
-For a Background Fabric: 15cm -25cm should be sufficient

PLEASE NOTE: not all design options might need a 'background'

-Notebook&pen/pencil
-Pins
-Thimble
-Fabric scissors (small)
-Embroidery/Crewel Sewing Needles size 9 or 8 OR Milliner/Straw Sewing Needles Size 9
-Mettler Silk-Finish Cotton Thread (available from Bernina) or Guttermann Thread or Aurifil (choose a neutral-coloured thread - suggestions: medium grey/ khaki green or donkey brown )
-MUST HAVES: 0.5 Clutch Pencil
-A square of sandpaper (must have a slight texture - not smooth)
-The Template Set (7 shapes)
