IMPORTANT NOTICE

IF YOU WISH TO PROCURE A COPY, OR COPIES, OF THE COLLECTOR’S EDITION OF “RATEL: THE MAKING OF A LEGEND”, PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY. (With apologies for being a mite pedantic, but experience has shown us that this is necessary)

1. We are now ready to take orders for the LIMITED COLLECTOR’S EDITION ONLY. This edition consists of a two-volume set (referred to as “the set”). The price is R1,600.00 per set (VAT incl).


2. YOU MAY NOT YET ORDER THE STANDARD (SOFT COVER) EDITION. (These orders will open shortly).


3. The Collector’s Edition sets can only be ordered through one channel (TIXSA) as in point 9 below, irrespective of whether you have indicated elsewhere (e.g. on Facebook) or to any individual or on any previous list that you wish to obtain a copy or copies. 


4. If you do not order through this channel, you will not receive a copy or copies. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. Please pass this information on to anyone you know who has indicated an interest in purchasing this edition.


5. The Collector’s Edition is not a numbered edition, but each set will be personalised through an inscription on the front covers, according to the requirements of the purchaser.


6. Due to the current lockdown, we will only be able to print the books once things have settled down again. However, any funds deposited will be kept in trust and refund will be guaranteed if for any reason the printing cannot occur.


7. All deliveries, local and overseas, will be through the Postnet/DHL network.


8. THIS IS A LIMITED EDITION WITH A LIMITED PRINT-RUN. THE CLOSING DATE FOR ORDERS IS 16:00 ON 15 JUNE 2020.


9. THE PROCEDURE TO ORDER IS AS FOLLOWS:  
   
   
   
   • This is for both local (RSA) orders and orders from outside the RSA.
   
   
   • Log onto our ordering platform: CLICK HERE and complete the order form.
   
   
   • Pay the required amount as indicated.
   
   
   • If applicable, include the Postnet/Courier and insurance charges (see Point 12 below).
   
   
   • Ensure that all required details are fully completed and are correct.
   
   
   • You will be asked whether you wish to have the set(s) delivered, will collect them yourself in Centurion, or wish to make other arrangements (e.g. own courier service). The actual collection point in Centurion will be made known in due course.
   
   
   • You must enter the inscription(s) that you wish to be inserted onto the front cover of both volumes in each set that you order.
     
     
     
     1. We will print the inscription as it appears on the application form, so please ensure that it is correct in every detail.
     
     
     2. You may have different inscriptions for each set but both volumes in a specific set will have the same inscription.
     
     
     3. Obviously, we will not accept “unsavoury” inscriptions!
     
     
     
     
   
   
   • You will be issued with a receipt, which is also confirmation of your order. This receipt must be presented when personally collecting sets.
   
   
   • We will advise all once printing is complete and, where applicable, delivery will then commence.
   
   
   • For information: one individual set, case-bound and wrapped for dispatch per Postnet/DHL weighs 2 kg.
   
   
   
   


10. Local Postnet delivery is automatically insured for R3,000.00 per package and DHL delivery for R1,000,00. Optional additional insurance is available at 3% of the total value of the package (less the amount of the automatic insurance).


11. As the sets will be shipped directly from the printers, it will not be possible to have books signed by any of the authors before delivery. However, a “book launch” will be arranged in Centurion where the sets can be collected and as many of the authors as we can arrange will be on hand for signings. If possible, similar “launches” may be arranged at other centres in due course.


12. Postnet/DHL delivery charges:

Note: this is Postnet to Postnet (or counter to counter) and not delivery to the door.

         b) Outside the RSA (tariffs include a 10% discount with the kind courtesy of                                    Postnet):

External DHL delivery is to the address listed on the order form.
